Hope you all had a great summer. Heading into the fall, Island of Hope will be spending our Sundays learning about Jesus and the poor. Who are they? Why does He love them so much? Are there spiritual advantages to being poor? What does it mean to be poor? These questions may be more relevant than you think, regardless of your income level. We will discover the difference between monetary poverty and spiritual poverty, and how spiritual poverty is the most blessed, most healthy place a human can be in, because we have a generous, grace-filled, mercy-loving God who died and rose from the grave to bring riches of the greatest kind to the poor.
