The Apostle Paul spent years weaving his way through the Roman Empire, and some of his earliest days were spent in the heartland of modern day Turkey, then called Galatia. Paul brought Christianity to several town and cities there, and nurtured the beginnings of others to understand and live the whole gospel – the good news about Jesus that changes everything. However, Paul could not stay forever, as God was calling him on to Greece and beyond. In the letter we have to the Galatians, Paul finds his spiritual children under the influence of teachers intent on twisting the message of Jesus to their own ways of thinking. Paul writes to get his friends back on track.
This series is going to be an expositional one – we will read together the entire letter and consider what Paul is saying to us today about the challenges we face, the life we live in 21st Century Canada. Join us for this exploration of one of the earliest writings of the New Testament. May 6 to June 3, 2018.
